Biography

Baoguo Han received his PhD in the field of smart materials and structures from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2005. He is currently a professor of civil engineering in the Dalian.
University of Technology, China. His main research interests include multifunctional/smart concrete, nanotechnology, sensing technology, and structural health monitoring and traffic detection. He is a member of the editorial board of five international journals and has published 3 books (authored), 2 books (edited), 13 book chapters and more than 150 technical papers. He was invited to the University of Minnesota and has worked as a visiting research scholar there for 3 years. He was also awarded the New Century Excellent Talents in University and the First Prize of Natural Science by the Ministry of Education of China. He was awarded Top Peer Reviewer in the Global Peer Review Awards 2019 powered by Publons in both Materials Science and Cross-Field, as well as Outstanding Reviewer of some reputable journals including Carbon (2015, 2017), Cement and Concrete Composites (2016), Composites Part A (2016, 2018), Construction and Building Materials (2016, 2018), Composite Structures (2016, 2018), Composites Part B (2017), Applied Energy (2017), Engineering Structures (2017), Smart Materials and Structures (2018), and Journal of Building Engineering (2018).
