Biography

Dr. NoorfaizalYidris is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Aerospace Engineering in Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia. Dr. Yidris possess a PhD degree in Structural Instability from the Loughborough University United Kingdom. He has teaching experiences in the engineering materials, structural designs, structural analysis, and engineering mechanics. His current research interests are on thin-walled structures, finite element modelling and analysis, damage tolerance analysis including creep rupture analysis and fatigue analysis. His current research projects are development of finite element modelling strategies and solution procedures of press-braking processes, cyclic loading of aerospace stiffened panels and quad tower composite cross-arms for electrical transmission lines. For the past few years, Dr. Yidris was actively involved in the research projects which involve the prototype development of motorized adjustable vertical platform for satellite assembly, integration and test facility.
