Biography

Dr. Yan-pingSheng obtained her Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees from Chang’an University in 2003, 2006 and 2010respectively. She was funded to the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as a visiting Ph.D. student by the China Scholarship Council during September 2008 and September 2009.Dr.Shengjoined Chang’an University in July 2010 as a Career Development Fellow.She was promoted to associate professor and professor in November 2012 and November 2017. During March 2016 and March 2017, she was funded to the Purdue University as a Senior Visiting Scholar by the China Scholarship Council. She is nowDirector of Shaanxi Provincial Silicate Society, Expert of Science and Technology Project Evaluation of Shanxi and Guangdong Provincial Department of Communications and Expert of Dissertation Evaluation of Ministry of Education.
Dr. Sheng has successively presided over the projects including: 12th Five-Year National Science and Technology Support Program Subproject, National Natural Science Foundation, China Postdoctoral Science Fund, China Postdoctoral Science Fund Special Funding Project, Shaanxi Provincial Postdoctoral Project, and Henan Transportation Science and Technology Plan. The important projects involved include: 13th Five-Year National Key R&D Project, Western Traffic Construction Project, National Natural Science Foundation, etc. She has won 5 awards such as the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. She has taken charge of several scientific research projects, including NSFC. She has been awarded 20 patents by the Chinese National Bureau of Knowledge Property Right, and she has published 2 books and more than 100 journal papers, including more than 30 SCI/EI papers.
